Coronavirus Prevention Tips

We can all agree that Coronavirus (COVID-19) is causing a lot of uncertainty in our life.

During these times of collective anxiety, here are some things to remember: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

1. Practice Healthy Habits: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Clean and disinfect surfaces, avoid touching your face, stay home if you're sick. Most importantly, wash your hands with soap!

2. Use a protective facial mask if you’re out in public.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

3. Stay connected:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

We are being encouraged to avoid big crowds with more than 50 people. We have this amazing thing to call the Internet where we can connect with others. Let's use it to encourage and support each other! Call a friend, connect online. Isolation does not have to mean a lack of connection.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

4. Take a break:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

At this difficult time the news could be too overwhelming, so take a break from looking at articles and watching the news. Try this as well, if you need to. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

5. Your health is important: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

This includes your mental and physical health. Many therapists, including us, are utilizing telehealth services. This means we are still able to provide therapy for everyone at any time.⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

6. Turn your fears into prayers or meditation. Take breaks to soothe your nervous system. Breathe, together we will get through this. Get outside, go for a walk, move your body, get fresh air. Connect with what you are grateful for.
